Micro Motion Solar Panels i...
Updated 1 year(s) ago
In late December 2008, Micro Motion started discussions with SunEdison, the global leader in delivering solar electricity. In late December 2010, SunEdison started installing their solar array above the Boulder manufacturing facility at 7060 Winchester Circle. Micro Motion has agreed to purchase all of the solar energy produced from the SunEdison roof-top PV system for the next 20 years. The PV system size is 101.66 kW DC and the annual energy production estimate is 133,864 kWh. The Solar Power & Services Agreement sets the price we pay for the electricity per kWh. Photovoltaic solar is a zero-emission renewable energy source. In the first three months of use, the new solar system has prevented the creation of 34,586 lbs of CO2. That is the same amount CO2 that 22 cars and 16 homes would create over the same period of time. The total solar energy produced to date is 21,554 kWh. In the past 30days, the environmental offset of the system was 21,303 lbs of CO2 or 26 lbs of NOx or 26 lbs of SO2. To learn more about SunEdison visit http://www.sunedison.com
